A T-Bone Steak with Bone still Intact
A teaspoon of salt
1 Tablespoon of EssieSpice Mekko Dry Rub
- Rub the meat all over with the salt and Mekko Dry Rub and allow to rest. You can even refrigerate with the seasoning for about an hour
- Heat a cast iron skillet and add a tablespoon of Olive oil. We don't want the meat to cook, we want it to brown and have a nice brown sear on each side so the skillet must be hot.
- Slowly lower the steak into the skillet and allow to sear for about 2 minutes on each side or more if you like it on the well-done side
- You can garnish with some scallions or fresh thyme or you can continue cooking it in the over for another 10 minutes or so depending on how rare or well done you want it.
